Yes it was 80 in December-a couple days ago! The hotel was very quiet so they may have this in the future.

other notables: Rooftop bar not open yet-they said mid Feb, Valet parking only, square toilets, full service Starbucks in lobby, fancy elevators, lots of lounging space in the lobby, clean minimalist rooms, in the same parking lot as Courtyard Irvine Spectrum, outdoor fireplace features, giant chess board, (cross posted ) We wished they had poolside service for drinks and food. I was impressed that the rooms did not have that off gassing smell from new mattresses that you sometimes get at new Springhill Suites. The hotel opened last week and not all the floors are open yet so that might be why. The beds and linens are high quality and super comfortable.

The rooms have wood laminate flooring, huge windows and a sliding modern barn door on the bathrooms. It just opened and they have a few kinks to work out ( the towels piled up around the pool and jacuzzi one day) but the design, eagerness of the staff and overall feel of the hotel is perfect. I can't say enough about the service and friendliness at the hotel. The pool area has padded lounge chairs, a nice size jacuzzi and covered spaces.
The new Marriott Irvine Spectrum just opened last week and it's so special! The M Club has indoor and outdoor private space, delicious appetizers and a solid basic breakfast, the infinity pool is stunning, the bar and bartenders (shout out to Justin) are on point-loved trying some of their signature cocktails. I have already booked two nights for my next stay. Lastly, Chase who is extremely energetic and helpful. Justin and Rocky our evening bartenders who made our night exceptional. Liza our bartender in the day and made me a fabulous greyhound drink with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Liz who is mainly in the M Lounge and was such a delight and could not have been more helpful. I would like to mention Brandon on the front desk who answered my questions prior to check in. The hotels bar opens up their glass doors in the daytime to give a very pleasant open air feel and views of the mountains. There is a grass play area for children to enjoy. With that being said the hotel is beautiful, the pool was warm enough for us to swim. The one thing I thought that they did not disclose was that they opened and advertised their rooftop bar but this was not open and will not be open to the guests until mid January. Unlike the previous reviewer I knew there was a parking fee as it is posted on their site. My husband and I have been doing stay vacations at the Irvine Spectrum Courtyard hotel and have been waiting for this Marriott hotel to open. Not too bad though I think the hotel has much work to be done before I come back, including addressing the high parking fee and the non-functioning Ethernet port. Learning my lessons from a JW Marriott in Washington DC I knew that texting almost never works, so I never used that option. The attendant gives you a claim check with a phone number at which you can text to get the car ready. There is no self park so you're basically stuck with paying the parking fee unless you don't drive a car. Parking is valet only and costs $ 29 / night with in/out privileges, which is a bit pricey. I was going to use it for work and my work laptop could not get a signal. Internet was standard though I was disappointed to find that the single Ethernet port was non-functioning. The shower had two heads which a guest could alternate between the two by a push or pull of a button opposite to the shower area. Perhaps that was how I perceived this particular Marriott and another Marriott in San Diego. I only stayed here one night and I found the room to be very different and refreshing. The elevator is different in that you push the floor that your room is on versus doing that inside the elevator. I've been told that not everything in this hotel is operational yet, and staff are still trying to figure out a lot of the kinks. I learned from the parking attendant that this hotel opened its doors sometime in mid-December 2017.
